vettasy.com uses no advertising or tracking cookies. This policy lists the few cookies needed to run the site and the workspace, and the requests the site makes to other services.

2What cookies are

Cookies are small files that a website stores in the browser. Similar technologies, such as local storage, work the same way. Strictly necessary cookies make a service work. Other cookies, for example for advertising or analytics, require consent in the EU and the UK.

Pages for candidates, including the invitation page, set no cookies except __cf_bm when Cloudflare needs it.

4Storage in the application

The desktop application keeps the invitation code, the device check result and app settings on the computer. This data stays on the device and is removed when the application is deleted. Recordings and reports are stored on Vettasy servers, not on the computer, unless the Candidate downloads a copy.

5Analytics without cookies

Plausible Analytics counts visits without cookies and without storing IP addresses. It derives a daily visitor identifier from the IP address and the browser with a salt that changes every 24 hours and is then deleted, so visits cannot be linked across days. Only aggregated figures, such as page views and referring sites, are kept.

6Requests to other services

Fonts are served from vettasy.com. Company logos on the website load from Wikimedia Commons and the Brandfetch CDN. These requests share the visitor’s IP address and browser details with those services, which set no cookies on vettasy.com.

7Managing cookies

Browsers can block or delete cookies in their settings. Blocking vt_session or vt_csrf prevents signing in to the workspace. Blocking __cf_bm may lead to extra checks on some pages.

8Changes and contact

This policy changes when the cookies in use change. The date at the top shows the latest version. Questions go to [email protected].
